Downtown Springfield, Inc.
        Mission: Downtown Springfield, Inc., a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization formed in 1993, works to preserve, promote and enhance Springfield’s historic central business district. Its mission is to help make downtown Springfield an ideal place to shop, work, visit, invest, and live.

Illinois Central Blues Club
          Mission:  Supports and encourages all aspects of the blues, including performance and education.  Hosts the annual Blues Challenge as well as Blue Monday Jams every Monday night at the Alamo, beginning at 8:30.

Illinois Symphony Orchestra
          Description: The 2008/2009 season marks the beginning of the 16th year of beautiful music making by the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the 9th season under the baton of Maestra Karen Lynne Deal. 
          The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is unique in its diversity and musical ambassadorship, as its members represent the countries of Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Syria, Macedonia, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Taiwan, China, Australia, South America, Canada and America. The majority of our musicians live in the cities of Chicago and St. Louis, as well as in Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, central and southern Illinois and the surrounding states. Many serve on the faculty of prestigious universities and others use the orchestra as a platform from which to launch major orchestral and solo careers. This breadth of musical cultures and personalities brings an invigorating freshness and passion to performances.

Liturgical Arts Festival 
          Mission:  The Liturgical Arts Festival of Springfield (LAFS), a non-profit, interfaith organization, was founded in 1995 by clergy, artists and community volunteers interested in expressions of spirituality in the arts. This inter-faith celebration of the arts is presented every two years and has evolved to include a juried liturgical and sacred art exhibit, music celebrations of faith held in local houses of worship, and sharing of religious traditions.

Prairie Art Alliance
           Mission:  Welcome to the Prairie Art Alliance in Springfield, Illinois. We are a not-for-profit art gallery and school committed to fostering community awareness of and participation in the visual arts. We represent emerging and established Central Illinois artists of all ages.
          Come explore works currently on display in our home at the H.D.Smith Gallery in the Hoogland Center for the Arts, 420 South Sixth Street, and learn about us and what we can do to expand your perspectives.

Route 66 Film Festival
           Mission:  to promote filmmaking and to provide the opportunity to see some of the best independent films from around the world.  To bring diversity to the arts in Springfield.

Sangamon Auditorium
          Mission:  Sangamon Auditorium opened its doors on February 21, 1981, and has since presented more than 1,025 events, ranging from the best in Broadway to dance, classical to jazz, popular headliners to great children's programming and more.
          Located on the campus of the University of Illinois at Springfield, the Auditorium is also the performance home to the Illinois Symphony and the Springfield Ballet Company.

Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony
            Mission:
  • To provide quality, diverse, rewarding and challenging musical experiences to its members and to foster their total development by working with other youth of like talent and by active participation in the performance of the finest symphonic masterworks and chamber music of past and contemporary composers
  • To stimulate an interest in music and musical participation in all young people of all levels and backgrounds
  • To complement the music programs of their respective schools and communities by providing unique experiences to participating members

Springfield Art Association
          Mission:  The Springfield Art Association, a visual arts organization, promotes and supports the advancement of the arts, provides educational opportunities for the greater Springfield area and also preserves the historic Edwards Place House and the collections of the Association. Located at 700 N. 4th Street.

Springfield International Folk Dancers    
          Mission:  to educate Sangamon and surrounding counties through dance and costuming from the cultural heritage of the area.  Hosting dance groups and holding workshops/lessons to pass on knowledge and skills and commitment to the mission.

Springfield Theatre Center
          Mission: Since 1947, the STC has brought our community and the arts together. They strive to provide Central Illinois with quality theatre, educational opportunities, and a creative outlet for live theatrical arts.
          The White Rabbit series, PAVE arts camp, and affiliation with the Active & Creative Teen Theatre offer young people an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to build confidence not only in performance, but in all aspects of theatre.
