First Night Springfield

Join us Dec. 31, 2011 for the 25th annual celebration of the arts and the new year! Proceeds from this event benefit the programs and services of the Arts Council including grants and resources to area artists, arts organizations and social service agencies with arts programming. Also benefits the Arts-In-Education program serving students and teachers in private and public schools in Sangamon, Menard and Macoupin Counties.

FREE CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES

Enjoy free performances and hands-on activities from 1 – 4 PM at Springfield High School. Enter the Commons area from the Washington & Parker Street doors.

 

OPENING CEREMONY & FANTASTIC FIREWORKS

At 6:15 PM, join the 25th Annual First Night® Springfield Opening Ceremony and Fireworks Display by Nostalgia Pyrotechnics.

 

FOOD SERVICES

Children’s Afternoon Activities 1 – 4 p.m.

Springfield High School PTO will host a snack and beverage station with a variety of food items and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Hoogland Center for the Arts 6 – 10 p.m.

In the Dining Room on the Lower Level, a variety of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Seating available with ongoing entertainment.

Central Baptist Church   6:45 – 10 p.m.

In Merriam Hall on lower level, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Seating available in the entertainment area.
